State-Based Marketplaces' Data Needs and Requirements

On May 30-31, the State Health Access Data Assistance Center (SHADAC) and the State Health Reform Assistance Network (State Network) hosted a Small Group Consultation meeting, convening state and federal officials and technical experts to consider the data needs and requirements related to state-based marketplaces (SBMs). This meeting offered a comprehensive look at data strategies for evaluation, federal reporting, operational decision-making and quality monitoring, with an emphasis on the work that current SBMs are doing around evaluation and metrics.
