Many states are working to develop exchange authorizing legislation by the end of this legislation session. On April 14 from 3:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. EDT, SCI will host an opportunity to hear from three of those states, Maryland, Missouri and Nevada. The presenters will comment on their states’ proposed governance structure, board requirements and conflict of interest provisions, how they expect the exchange to handle procurement and hiring, and any potential policy issues that are addressed in the legislation. Presenters will also talk about the process of getting legislation proposed and passed as well as their work with stakeholders and the public.
