Minnesota Health Insurance Exchange has launched its new website, which includes an introductory video on the benefits of the health insurance exchange and how it will work, a benefits calculator for determining tax credits eligibility, information on analysis and grants, and targeted pages for individuals and families, small businesses, agents and brokers, health plans, and others.

Nevada’s Silver State Health Insurance Exchange presented this report to its Board to assist in determining the proper procedures and methods for plan certification, recertification and decertification, in addition to offering component plan certification recommendations.

The Maryland Health Benefit Exchange has released this grant solicitation for applicants interested in serving as regional entities in its Connector Program.  The Connector entities will consist of Navigators licensed by the Maryland Insurance Administration and non-certified assisters.

Vermont’s Green Mountain Care Board has released a request for proposal for “a contractor who can assist in the development of an efficient rate review process that optimizes the data and information provided to the agency and streamlines the agency’s decision-making.”

The Wyoming Department of Health released this report analyzing the costs of full Medicaid expansion, as prescribed by the ACA. It estimates that expanding Medicaid in Wyoming would insure an additional 28,200 individuals and it would save the state $47 million over six years.

This report analyzes the enrollment and costs implications of Medicaid expansion in Kansas. With Kansas’s current Medicaid eligibility threshold being among the lowest in the nation, the Kansas Health Institute estimates Medicaid expansion would result in more than 240,000 individuals enrolling in Medicaid, and the cost to Kansas from 2014-2020 would be close to $519 million.

The Center for Improving Value in Health Care has officially launched the Colorado APCD. The database, created under legislative authority in 2010, includes claims data from commercial health plans, Medicare, and Medicaid.

SHARE grantee David Idala, Director of Medicaid Policy Studies at The Hilltop Institute at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, released a final report from his SHARE-funded evaluation of Maryland’s effort to identify and enroll eligible children in Medicaid and CHIP using information from state tax forms.

Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services has released a Request for Proposal (RFP) in order to secure the services of a vendor to provide Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) services associated with two separate implementation projects: the Integrated Eligibility System (IES) and Health Insurance Exchange (HIX).
