AcademyHealth's State Health Research and Policy (SHRP) Interest Group will host its annual meeting on Saturday, June 7 at the Hilton San Diego. The SHRP Interest Group meeting provides researchers, policymakers, and practitioners with the opportunity to hear and discuss recent state-level research that emphasizes the unique challenges of working within a state policy and political environment. The small-group format allows for participants to engage in discussion opportunities and network with peers from around the country.
The meeting is held in conjunction with AcademyHealth’s Annual Research Meeting (ARM). Registration for the ARM and the SHRP Annual Meeting is now open. More information is available on AcademyHealth’s website.
A limited number of competitive scholarships are available for state officials. These scholarships will cover the cost of travel and registration for the Interest Group meeting and registration for the main ARM (hotel costs will not be covered). To apply for a scholarship, please send an email to Hilary Kennedy no later than Monday, April 28. In your email application, please indicate the reason for your interest in attending the meetings, as well as how your attendance and participation relates to your position as a state official. AcademyHealth will be in touch with applicants about the status of their scholarship request during the week of May 5.
