FAIR Health's National Private Insurance Claims Data for Research
Join AcademyHealth on June 6 from 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. ET to learn about a valuable resource for health services research: the FAIR Health National Private Insurance Claims (FH NPIC) database. Introduced just last year, the FH NPIC database provides researchers with access to the largest repository of private medical and dental claims data from all areas of the United States from 2002 to the present.
Robin Gelburd, President of FAIR Health, will discuss how the database, with its rich information on cost and utilization and much more, can be used to support a wide variety of research projects such as:
- A study of the comparative utilization of procedures across dates of service and location
- The cost of care and how it changes over time and across geographic regions
- The overuse, underuse, or misuse of procedures
- The diffusion of new technologies
- Adherence to best practices
- The intended and unintended consequences of public health and insurance laws and regulations
Join this webinar and you’ll learn about:
- Identifying ways in which claims data can support research objectives
- The breadth of data available through FH NPIC
- How FH NPIC can be merged with other datasets to inform research
- Comparing and evaluating sources and uses of healthcare claims data
- Accessing samples datasets and applying for FH NPIC data
Register today to learn more about how this new resource can advance your current or future studies.
