On April 8, SCI held a webinar to discuss the major finding from “Implementing State Health Reform: Lessons for Policymakers,” a new report written by Navigant Consulting for SCI. The authors identified not only the key questions that policymakers should ask when considering health care reform, but also a set of related takeaways, particularly operational activities that are required pre- and post-implementation. State officials from Tennessee, Vermont, and Wisconsin discussed the findings and offered their perspectives on the implications of implementing national health reform. Understanding these issues is particularly critical now as the enactment of federal reform will have enormous implementation challenges for states.
