Call for Applications
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) and AcademyHealth are seeking applications for their 2008 Fellowship. The aim of the fellowship is to foster collaboration between NCHS staff and visiting scholars on a wide range of topics of mutual concern. The fellowship allows visiting scholars to conduct new and innovative analyses and participate in developmental and health policy activities related to the design and content of future NCHS surveys, and offers access to the data resources provided by the CDC.
Applications must demonstrate training and/or experience in health services research and methodology, reflecting disciplines such as:
-Public health -Sociology
-Public administration -Economics
-Health care administration -Behavioral sciences
-Statistics
Applicants may be at any stage in their careers, from doctoral students to senior investigators. The application deadline is January 7. Call for Abstracts Opens November 1
Washington, D.C. will host the 25th Annual Research Meeting (ARM) June 8-10, 2008. The call for abstracts opens November 1 and closes January 15. Abstracts are invited for three categories: (1) call for papers; (2) call for posters; and (3) call for panels. This year's ARM is organized around 22 themes, including a State Health Initiatives theme.
