With two open enrollment periods and intense outreach efforts behind us, we know that Navigators have played a significant role in meeting enrollment goals.The recent Department of Health and Human Services (HHS)
announcement regarding providing continued funding to support the important work of navigators in both the Federally-facilitated and State Partnership Marketplaces, underscores their role. Both existing HHS Navigator applicants as well as new grantees will be eligible to apply for funding. HHS has extended the project period, allowing grantees a 36 month period. By providing a more consistent funding source, Navigators will continue to not only be a stable source of information and guidance, but also focus on the challenging work of getting to the hard to reach populations and manage the ongoing stability of the renewal process. Applications are due by June 15.
