The California Department of Managed Health Care has announced the launch of a partnership with the Health Consumer Alliance to assist Californians struggling to gain access to health coverage. In addition to direct assistance, the Health Consumer Alliance will also provide consumers with information on changes to the health care system as a result of the ACA.

Maine's Governor, Paul LePage, has signed into law a compromise supplemental budget (L.D. 1816) that freezes new Medicaid enrollment for childless adults and phases in cutbacks on low-income parents.
