California Launches Statewide Partnership to Help Californians Struggling to Secure Health Care
The California Department of Managed Health Care has announced the launch of a partnership with the Health Consumer Alliance to assist Californians struggling to gain access to health coverage. In addition to direct assistance, the Health Consumer Alliance will also provide consumers with information on changes to the health care system as a result of the ACA. The Health Consumer Alliance consists of nine consumer assistance programs operated by community‐based legal services organizations and two statewide support organizations. The partnership is supported by a $1.6 million federal ACA grant.
