Oregon: CCO Legislation Signed into Law
Oregon Governor, John Kitzhaber, signed into law a bill (S.B. 1580) implementing coordinated care organizations (CCOs) that are intended to oversee the integration of physical, dental, and mental health services for more than 600,000 Medicaid members. The House passage of S.B. 1580 gives the Oregon Health Authority the green light to implement its business model for creating and operating locally based CCOs across the state beginning July 1, 2012.
