The Fiscal Survey of States: Fall 2011
The National Governors Association and the National Association of State Budget Officers have released the Fall 2011 edition of the Fiscal Survey of States. According to the report, while state fiscal conditions are slowly improving in fiscal 2012, they are likely to remain constrained due to the lack of a strong national economic recovery and the withdrawal of federal stimulus funds provided through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA).
