Oregon's Coordinated Care Organization Webiste
Oregon's Governor Kitzhaber appointed 133 people to serve on the Oregon Health Policy Board's four health transformation work groups under House Bill 3650.The health care legislation aims to improve health and the quality of care while lowering costs for Oregon Health Plan members.
Under HB 3650, local Coordinated Care Organizations (CCOs) would be responsible for the delivery of physical, mental, addictions, oral, and other health care. These organizations would be given flexibility and incentives for care that keeps people healthier, including preventive services and team-based care for chronic illnesses. Work groups will meet between August and November 2011, and their work will inform the plan for CCOs that will be submitted to the legislature. To view the website click here.
