IOM Report: Essential Health Benefits
The essential health benefits package specifies the services that all Qualified Health Plans will be required to cover if they are to participate in any state’s health insurance exchange. The recommendations of the Intstitute of Medicine (IOM) committee provide guidelines and criteria for the U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary to use when determining what should be included in the final package.
