Connecticut Level One Establishment Grant Narrative
Connecticut applied for the Level One grant June 30, 2011 and was awarded $6,687,933 from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) on August 12, 2011. Among other activities, the state expects to use the funding to:
- Determine the administrative issues involved in starting an Exchange, including the hiring of Exchange leadership and procurement of office space;
- Build on the research provided by its Exchange Planning Grant and conduct a thorough anlaysis of IT capabilities to focus on business process and IT used in the Exchange; and
- Develop appropiate capacity for consumer assistance and reporting requirements.
