Jobs and Economic Security for Rural America
The White House report highlights that the keys to improving health for rural communities are to recruit physicians and make better health technologies available. The Administration is creating two initiatives to improve access to health care for rural America. In one initiative, The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) will put out guidance to make the National Health Service Corps loan repayment program available to smaller hospitals. The second initiative, HHS and the Department of Agriculture will help rural hospitals and clinicians set up health information technology by making it easier for them to use capital loan programs.
