UT-2010 Uninsurance Estimates
The Utah Department of Health released 2010 uninsurance estimates showing that 10.6 percent of the state’s population lacked health insurance coverage (this is not a significant difference from 2009 estimates). Uninsurance for children 0-18 years was 7.0 percent.Over 12 percent of Utah’s children who live in households below 200% of the federal poverty level, many of whom are CHIP-eligible, remain uninsured.
