CA-Exchange Board Discusses Basic Health Program
California's Health Benefit Exchange Board met for their second meeting on May 11, 2011. The board discussed the option to implement a Basic Health Program as an alternative to the exchange's coverage for adults with incomes between 133 percent and 200 percent of the federal poverty level, and for legal immigrants with incomes below 133 percent of the poverty level. If California moves forward with the Basic Heath Program, Senate Bill 703 would be the enabling legislation.
