States Work with Insurers to Provide More Affordable Plans Focusing on Primary Care and Wellness Benefits
This past year saw two additional states (following Rhode Island’s lead[i]) attempt to provide a more affordable insurance option that emphasizes primary and preventive care. Both New Hampshire and Florida are asking insurers to offer bids to the state for a plan that meets prescribed benefit and affordability standards.
